Deer Valley: Ski the Difference!

Luxurious, family friendly, world famous groomed runs, superior customer service…these are all words that describe Deer Valley Resort. Located about 35 miles east of Salt Lake City, Utah, Deer Valley is a resort unlike any other and I am so lucky to have it in my backyard (basically). 🙂

If you’ve never visited Deer Valley, add it to your “go-to” list immediately. It is one of the most amazing resorts in the world! It was previously ranked as the #1 ski resort in North America and is constantly on the top of various charts for excellent snow, lifts, dining, lodging, service…and I can see why.

Deer Valley is unique. First of all, they do not allow snowboarders. If you’re a snowboarder, this will bum you out, but if you’re skier, it is music to your ears! Secondly, they are one of very few resorts that actually limit the number of tickets sold per day to avoid overcrowding. Think very small lines and more time on the slopes (this is also thanks to all of the high-speed quad chairs at the resort). Thirdly, their groomed runs are out of this world and perfect for the beginner or intermediate skier.

One thing you come to expect at Deer Valley, is excellent customer service and the best accommodations you could ask for. The employees always go above and beyond to make sure you are having a magnificent time. With all the luxury around you, you’d think it would exude a rather “snobby” attitude. It is anything but. Deer Valley is filled with comfort and extravagance, but still maintains a very family-friendly atmosphere at the same time. In fact, it is my kids favorite place to ski! They beg to ski at Deer Valley every year and well; I do too.
